✨ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 ✨ Did you know that millions of patients worldwide with 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗿 (UAB) rely on intermittent self-catheterization or permanent catheters to empty their bladder? These patients face a lifelong burden of catheterization, along with the risk of serious complications. Currently, there are no viable solutions to restore their natural bladder function. At iota, we’re proud to pioneer a 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗶𝗻-𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 that empowers patients to empty their bladder on demand and potentially restore bladder function. This groundbreaking technology has received FDA IDE approval — a monumental step toward transforming the lives of those with UAB. 🚀 Follow us to stay updated on this exciting journey! #UnderactiveBladder #MedTech #QualityOfLife #Innovation #IDE

We are excited to announce that we have received FDA IDE (investigational device exemption) approval for our investigational bladder stimulation device, a Class 3 Active Implantable designed for people with underactive bladder (UAB). This significant milestone allows us to move into the next phase of development for this therapy and assess its safety and feasibility in clinical trials. UAB represents a huge area of unmet need, so our team has worked at pace while maintaining an uncompromising emphasis on quality to drive from concept to IDE approval in just four years – an unprecedented achievement! At iota Biosciences, Inc. powered by Astellas, we’re focused on creating and developing state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic bioelectronic devices to advance the treatment and management of disease. From day one we have combined speed, agility and quality to achieve our ambition of creating the next generation of innovative technologies, that will change lives.
