2024: A Year to Remember for Intuitive Machines 🚀 This year, we reached for the stars—and landed on the Moon! 🌒 In February, we made history, returning the United States to the Moon for the first time since 1972. But 2024 wasn’t just about the landing. It was about laying the foundation to provide lunar services that unlock the lunar economy.   Highlights include: ⭐ Winning $4.82 billion max value NASA Near Space Network contracts to establish communication and navigation services for missions in the near space region, ⭐ Building on our leadership role in the Artemis campaign by earning a fourth contract under NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative, to deliver payloads to the Moon, and ⭐ Securing a prime contractor position under NASA’s Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services contract and taking the Moon RACER LTV from concept to reality in just four months. We capped off an epic year by completing the LTV’s first round of human-in-the-loop testing just weeks ago. As we prepare for the IM-2 Mission in 2025, we’re proud to be at the forefront of humanity’s return to the Moon, shaping the future of lunar mobility, sustainability, and exploration—on the Moon and beyond.   🌠 Here’s to dreaming big! Apollo 17 splashed down in the Pacific Ocean today in 1972 marking the closure of an extraordinary chapter in lunar exploration. America would not return to the Moon for the next 52 years, until February 22, 2024.

🚀 Exciting progress toward lunar exploration! Today, NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration completed the first round of human-in-the-loop testing for the Intuitive Machines Moon RACER lunar terrain vehicle (LTV) at Johnson Space Center. 🌖 Moon RACER is one of three commercially owned and developed unpressurized LTVs under consideration for NASA’s Artemis campaign. If selected, Moon RACER will remain under Intuitive Machines' ownership, enabling remote operations between Artemis missions for up to 10 years. This groundbreaking approach will pave the way for continuous commercial scientific discovery and long-term human space exploration—even when no crew is on the Moon. Intuitive Machines was over the Moon to join our friends at Houston Airport System for the unveiling of an upgraded International Arrivals Curb at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. With six lanes, it’s more than wide enough to accommodate our Moon RACER lunar terrain vehicle. "Houston’s identity as Space City is built on a foundation of innovation, connectivity and bold ambitions," said Jack Fischer, Intuitive Machines vice president and former NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration astronaut. This training includes invaluable hands-on experience with command systems, flatsat testing, and managing mission control console activities during surface operations.
