  • Jim Hill’s career as an Advisor is rooted in a lifelong commitment to service and a passion for building lasting relationships. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in Greensboro, NC, Jim’s early life laid the foundation for his dedication to helping others achieve their financial, life, and spiritual goals. A graduate of Clemson University, Jim’s path was notably influenced by his time as a student trainer on athletic scholarship, contributing to several ACC championship teams. This experience was pivotal in developing the leadership and teamwork skills that have been instrumental in his career. Professionally, Jim’s philosophy is to serve others, a principle that resonates through his work at a previous firm where he specialized in developing strategies to help clients achieve their income, lifestyle, and legacy goals. He is devoted to his wife and two daughters, with whom he shares a love for attending the Masters, Clemson football games, Broadway musicals, European travels, and beach weeks. These shared experiences underscore a family dynamic that thrives on adventure, culture, and togetherness. Outside of family and work, Jim’s interests include church involvement, golf, travel, his lab Maggie, and wine, reflecting a well-rounded and engaging lifestyle. • In 2025, Social Security benefits will see a 2.5% increase, a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) aimed at helping recipients keep pace with rising costs. While this may seem like a small change, even a modest increase can make a difference in monthly budgeting and long-term planning.

  • Let’s talk financial planning at different stages of life. Here’s how I typically approach it: In your 20s: Automate your savings. In your 30s: Start saving for larger goals. In your 40s: Maximize retirement contributions and fine-tune investments. In your 50s: Review income sources, reduce debt, and consider long-term care. In your 60s: Review everything to help ensure it aligns with your lifestyle needs, and think about healthcare costs. In your 70s and beyond: Focus on tax-efficient withdrawals from your accounts, and staying ahead of any changes in health care or estate planning. No matter what age you are, financial planning is personal, and what’s right for one person might look completely different for someone else. But the key is to start—wherever you are. #LifeStages #RetirementPlanning #PersonalFinance This post is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute a recommendation or solicitation to buy or sell any security or make any other type of investment or investment decision.
