Today, we use polls to count heads, too – just a little more scientifically than under the old methods. Data reports or market research that sits on a shelf has zero value. 🚩 🎯 Data is only as powerful as the decisions it drives. If your insights aren't leading to clear actions, you're not just wasting resources—you're missing growth opportunities. ⚡ Make research matter by turning it into actual strategic moves. 🔆 3 Ways to Turn Research into Impact 🔆 📊 1. Align insights with real BUSINESS goals (beyond research objectives): Research must be directly tied to strategic initiatives and stakeholders in charge of those initiatives. If it doesn't help solve key business problems, it's irrelevant. 👊 Prioritize taking action over gathering infinite amount of data: Focus on the 20% of insights that will drive 80% of the results. Don’t get lost in data overload or those shiny objects that promise oceans of data. In my experience, some of the biggest and most positively impactful research has been small quant or small/qual only. 🏃♀️Create and take ownership of an actual roadmap: Translate insights into clear, measurable actions throughout the organization, beyond the data/research team. Build timelines, assign ownership, and track progress to ensure follow-through. And make this a plan for the company/brand - out of accountability to your customers or future customers.
