A new program from the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) is expanding access to advanced eye screenings beyond the hospital, bringing care closer to patients with diabetes. Patients can access these screenings in general practices, community hospitals, and mobile clinics. With this expansion, the NHS expects around 60,000 patients showing early signs of diabetic eye disease to receive advanced care in these settings.
