✨After opening up our Family and Community Resource Center, Elia Lopez met Marie who found herself in an unfortunate situation. After finally securing a home for her and her children. The past six months have been a nightmare. A water leak in her home has caused major damage, rendering her kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room completely inoperable. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have any family or support nearby, and this has left her without basic necessities like a shower, toilet, stove, and washer/dryer. There have been many days when her children felt uncomfortable going to school because they couldn’t even shower properly. I met Marie a few months ago, and at that time had helped with a different resource. She reached out again and explained everything that was going on and of course I wanted to help in anyway I could. During this challenging time,Elia has been providing Marie and her family with the essential products to stay clean and comfortable. Supplies such as but not limited to wet wipes, Kotex, flushable wipes, baby wipes, shampoo, deodorant, oral care products, and more. Elia arranged passes for her and her 4 kids to use at the rec center so they can shower daily, as well as laundry pods and vouchers for the laundromat so they can keep their clothes clean for school and work. ❤️This is the hope for every family who enters our resource center that we may work together to find solutions affecting all aspects of their life. Where there’s a will there’s a way and alongside a generous community rallying up support for the Idaho Hispanic Foundation we can ensure brighter opportunities for all.
