  • Psychological safety is the belief that we can safely speak up with ideas, questions and concerns. We began our psychological safety learning sessions with managers and supervisors as the ability to foster a safe environment is an important part of leadership and has been identified as one of our key leadership behaviors. Take a look at one of our sessions from the lens of Matt Minchew, equity & inclusion program leader.

  • We're proud of our longstanding partnership with Habitat for Humanity International, and we're excited to be involved in one of their latest builds in Maine. This project is particularly meaningful for teams at the Huber Resources Corporation in Old Town and our facility in Easton, who will play an active role in the project in 2025. Eastern Maine Community College Building Construction students are working on the home to gain hands-on experience, while students studying electrical engineering and plumbing are also participating in the build. We're thrilled to be part of this project and proud to supply ZIP System and AdvanTech products from our Easton mill and ZIP System R-sheathing from our Atlas Camp Hill, Pa. facility. • Part of our mission is to guide and inspire the next generation of industry professionals. Recently, a class of high school students toured our Easton, Maine, facility. The visit allowed students to meet professionals in the field and see how their classroom lessons apply to real-world situations. The tour was a great learning experience for the students and a joy for our team to invest in the next generation.

  • In October, team members attended the Strategic Leadership Conference at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to take the reins, literally and figuratively, and embrace their leadership style. The conference included hands-on, interactive training sessions focused on innovation, AI and leadership, with one of the highlights being the TeachingHorse session. TeachingHorse identified four leadership styles that horses naturally exhibit: Attention, Direction, Energy and Congruence. These pillars helped the team identify their natural leadership styles and the ones they aspire to develop.

  • Our Crystal Hill, Va., facility is approaching its 30th birthday in 2025. The facility made its first panel in February 1995 and is an essential pillar of the HEW footprint. Our team in Crystal Hill produces all core residential brands, namely AdvanTech and ZIP System panels, with the latest addition to the portfolio being AdvanTech X-Factor. See what plant manager, Jeremy Catron sees on the horizon for 2025 below.

  • Innovation is a top priority as we keep our sights set on the future. Recently, our innovation teams met in Cincinnati for training at Eureka! Ranch, an Innovation Engineering company focused on a systems-driven approach to developing new products and processes for organizations. We had a great time learning new tools and techniques for deriving transformational ideas and testing the validity and feasibility of those ideas more efficiently.

  • We enjoy opportunities to visit our customer jobsites, connect with our partners and gain insights into their projects. Recently, our team had the pleasure of stopping by the Perkins Builder Brothers' build in North Carolina. During our visit, we observed the dedication the Perkins brothers put into every detail of their construction, while we also discussed technical topics and best practices. We're grateful for builders like Erik and Jamie, whose commitment to quality and innovation motivates us to continually improve so we can support their efforts.

  • At Huber, sustainability is a strategy. We hold ourselves to high standards to be responsible stewards of the environment. We're proud to say that out of our 21 manufacturing locations, 11 meet our internal Zero Waste to-Landfill threshold, which requires diverting at least 90% of a manufacturing facility’s waste from landfills. But we're not done yet. Learn more about what sustainability means to us and our goals for the future: https://bit.ly/3MGzBX5
