Host’s annual holiday gift drive helped make spirits bright this holiday season! Led by our service team of employee volunteers, together we helped make gift wishes come true for 70 local children in need in partnership with Central Union Mission. Through the generosity of our employees, we fulfilled their holiday wish lists, and gave each child a cozy winter coat, hat and gloves plus a copy of James Tate's brand-new children's book authored by his sons. A highlight of the event was our annual gift-wrapping party, where employees from across the company came together to wrap all of the donated gifts and spread holiday cheer. The holiday spirit carried on as we ended the day with a festive happy hour to celebrate the joy of giving back. We are proud to help make a difference for families in our local community and spread a little extra kindness and joy this holiday season. #LetsDoSomethingEPIC

Earlier in November, two of our employees represented Host at Boutique Design | BDNY, participating on two separate panels. Helen Jorgensen, LEED®AP shared her insights about the transformation of the Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui into a modern luxury destination, detailing the integration of local culture, sustainability, and advanced technology. She detailed how the design integrated Maui’s land and water elements, noting that despite the challenge of including such high-impact features, the team's collaboration and innovation were key to achieving the project's vision, enhancing the guest experience and capturing the essence of the design. Lori Harris, LEED Green Associate discussed the essentials of transformational design, including the latest trends, sustainability, and technology integration. The panelists offered diverse viewpoints on hotel renovations, sparking a stimulating conversation that educated both audience members and the speakers about different CapEx processes. We are proud to have two of our colleagues share their insights at BDNY, contributing to the vibrant exchange of ideas and reinforcing Host’s role as a leader in fostering innovation and excellence in our industry.

On December 11, some of our colleagues had the honor of attending the Ragan Communications and PR Daily Awards Luncheon in New York, where our corporate website was celebrated as a finalist. The PR Daily Awards are highly esteemed in the communications industry, recognizing the best in platforms, publications, campaigns and events. Our website, www.hosthotels.com, stood out as a finalist in the website category for its engaging and seamless user experience, innovative design and clear messaging. This nomination is a testament to the recent revamp of our website, which mirrors the dramatic transformation of our company and portfolio. We strategically focused on highlighting our competitive strengths—our people, platform, and portfolio—while ensuring the site remains user-friendly and an engaging source of information. We are proud to be recognized as an industry leader and to provide a digital destination that tells our unique Host story. #HostHotels #PRDailyAwards #CorporateWebsite

Introducing Our Support of the ‘Ho’okipa’ Marketing Campaign – Featuring Local Stories! Following the anniversary of the tragic Maui wildfires, we are honored to support our hotel managers, local tourism authorities and government officials in promoting the return of visitors to Maui. Three of our hotels in Maui have launched the ‘Ho’okipa’ marketing campaign—which means the ‘spirit of hospitality’ in Hawaiian—in an effort to communicate the importance of tourism for Maui’s economic recovery. We are seeing positive results, and we are encouraged that Maui is beginning to show improvements as it recovers. Over the coming weeks, we will highlight these stories and the dedicated employees who are warmly welcoming visitors back to this majestic destination. Today, we are featuring the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. It’s people like Puamana Farden, senior sales manager at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, who share the heart of Maui and welcome every guest into their Ohana with the Aloha spirit, embodying warmth, inclusivity, respect and community. Mahalo to General Manager Fred Findlen and to Paumana and all the employees at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa for turning hospitality into something extraordinary! https://lnkd.in/eBU_t5yn

Mahalo Tom Houston and the Fairmont Kea Lani Maui team for your kind words and all the work you are doing for the Maui community, and Host's Joseph Tapley lending a helping hand. We are proud to support our Maui 'ohana's efforts to restore and protect this important native wildlife habitat and refuge on Maui. Together, we can build a more sustainable and resilient community, and preserve the beauty and spirit of this special island.
At Fairmont Kea Lani Maui we are extremely proud of the partnership with our ownership group, Host Hotels & Resorts. Host Hotels & Resorts is consistently recognized as a global industry leader in sustainability and is committed to creating long-term value through investing responsibly in their business, environment, people and community. Yesterday this could not have been more evident when Asset Manager Joseph Tapley turned “‘Aina Manager” at the Hawai'i Land Trust Waihe’e Refuge on #maui. Host Hotels & Resorts owns multiple hotels in #hawaii including Fairmont Kea Lani Maui, Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa & the recently aquired Turtle Bay Resort on #oahu. When Joseph Tapley eagerly accepted our invitation to participate in this Saturday morning Community Work Day it was abundantly clear that not only his personal intentions were pure, but that our organizations clearly align in our commitment to environment, people & community. Mahalo Joe for all that you & Host Hotels & Resorts do for the communities that we are so fortunate to operate in and for the unwavering support of the properties, brands & people that your organization entrusts with operating these incredible hotels. Truly appreciated!

We are overwhelmed with excitement and gratitude after the success of our recent fundraiser, "HostBay"—Host’s internal, online charitable marketplace which raised nearly $30,000. Organized by our service team of employee volunteers, the eBay-style auction brought together our employees from across the company to bid on items generously donated by our hotels, vendors and local businesses. From hotel stays and home décor to sports memorabilia and gift cards, the variety of auction items showcased the spirit and generosity of our community and partners. Every bid contributed directly to supporting two local organizations, chosen by our service team event leads: DC SCORES and the Montgomery County chapter of Special Olympics Maryland. These funds will empower youth and promote holistic health and well-being, making a meaningful impact in our local community. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, donated and supported this initiative! #LetsDoSomethingEPIC
