With over 330 buses, nearly 400 employees, and a service area encompassing one of Colorado’s most diverse urban populations, Denver Public Schools (DPS)’ transportation department is a logistical powerhouse. However, it has also had to contend with nationwide challenges like driver shortages and rising costs while ensuring equity and efficiency for its 10,000 daily riders. Enter HopSkipDrive. Recent regulatory changes through the State Board of Education now enable schools throughout Georgia to utilize small-vehicle transportation. These changes allow schools to enhance their mobility options with multimodal transportation options to help solve bus driver shortages and address the impacts of reduced efficient transportation, including chronic absenteeism. And so? We’re excited to announce that HopSkipDrive will soon be available in Atlanta. 📢

The national school bus driver shortage impacts parents and caregivers.
