Ashton Blasko is a second year LIFT apprentice who transitioned to full time work when he graduated high school earlier this year. He was interested in being an apprentice because it gave him a path for his future that didn’t involve college. He has enjoyed being in a professional work environment and building relationships, despite his young age. Outside of work, he likes to lift weights. Ty Zartman and Shawn Eash are second year LIFT apprentices in Elkhart. Ty wanted to be an apprentice because he knew he didn’t want to go to college, but still wanted to have a career. He has stayed largely because of the people and the relationships he’s built. Outside of work, he plays football, basketball and golf. Shawn was interested in being an apprentice because he likes doing hands-on work more than being in a traditional classroom (and being paid for it). He also enjoys auto mechanics and helping on his family’s dairy farm. Horizon Education Alliance CareerWise Elkhart County
