  • With a retail construction value of $300,000, HomeAid’s mission saved Isaiah 117 House approximately 50% of construction costs through the in-kind construction management from Chesmar Homes, who worked as Builder Captain on the project, and labor and materials from members of the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA). This home will provide a new beginning for approximately 500 children in state care each year. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gwC9tBSz.

  • Sometimes, we don’t realize just how fragile our security can be. Nearly 40% of Americans are just one paycheck away from poverty. A sudden job loss, unexpected medical expense, or economic downturn can quickly spiral into homelessness when there’s no financial safety net to fall back on. Serious illness, accidents, natural disasters, disability, or even aging can also push someone toward homelessness with little warning. Economic hardship makes us all vulnerable, but together, we can create the safety nets needed to prevent homelessness before it happens. Let’s work toward a future where everyone has access to safe, stable housing—no matter what life throws their way.
