  • 🎄✨ A Little Holiday Cheer, Delivered with Love! ✨🎄 This week, our wonderful volunteer, Sohini Gupta, crafted these beautiful pine bough arrangements, ready to bring a touch of holiday magic to our patients. 🌟 Each arrangement is filled with the fresh scent of winter greenery, a pop of festive color, and, most importantly, the love and care that makes this season truly special. ❤️ We’re so grateful for the kindness and creativity of our volunteers, who go the extra mile to make sure every patient feels remembered and cherished during the holidays. 🌲

  • It's Furry Friend Friday! 🐶 Our pet therapy program is bringing smiles and soothing souls! Team Tuggie visits the Community Hospice House every Friday morning with HHHC volunteers Diane Eagle, handler, and Sally Hooper, co-partner. Tuggie is a Border Collie with a gentle temperament and huge heart. Patients and families take comfort in her visits and Tuggie always leaves them with a smile with her special way of waving goodbye. 📷 credit: Lindsey Ocker

  • The holiday season can be especially challenging for those grieving the loss of a loved one. While it’s a time often filled with joy and togetherness, it can also bring feelings of sadness, loneliness, and longing. You don’t have to face these emotions alone. As we step into the new year, consider joining one of our grief support groups. These groups provide a safe, compassionate space to connect with others who understand what you're going through. Starting in January 2025, groups for this session may include Loss of Spouse, Loss of Parent, and General Loss. These groups are open to anyone grieving the death of a loved one who hasn’t already participated in an 8-week group.
