Hey Everyone! We've recently launched a new page specifically for our podcast: Hey Non-Profits, Raise More Money! This page will focus solely on helping nonprofit professionals gain new skills within the fundraising space, to ultimately help you... Raise More Money! We'll be posting daily podcast clips, insights, and strategies you can incorporate within your day-to-day. If you're interested, please give us a follow. 🙂
Picking up the phone can feel overwhelming. 😩 Especially when the goal is to ask something of the recipient. As a team that's been helping nonprofits for 9+ years, ask-anxiety has been a consistent hurdle for many professionals—especially those within the fundraising sphere. Chelsey, in the video below, mentions how people she meets fear even the IDEA of asking others for money. But it doesn't have to be that way... Implementing these strategies can help: ✅ Try to separate YOU from the ask. And don't take "no" personal. ✅ Lead with gratitude. Acknowledge past support and genuinely thank them before making the ask. ✅ Don't ask for money. Instead, invite people to join a cause they already believe in. ✅ Reward yourself. Get a coffee or take a walk once the calls are done. Are you ahead or behind on your year-end donor call goals?

"Fundraising is hard... Don't make it more difficult by not capitalizing on the opportunity to talk to an expert fundraising coach for free." Book a free session with Jason -> https://lnkd.in/gbczpCNN This is a question we ask each of our podcast guests, and we get some great answers! But, we'd like to ask you the same question... Provide yours in the comments below. 👇

What’s really stopping you from picking up the phone to call your donors? 🤔 (Hint: It’s probably not just 'being busy'.) Year-end fundraising is crunch time for nonprofits, yet so many of us hesitate when it’s time to call donors. Is it fear of rejection? Lack of the right tools? Or something else? In our latest podcast episode with special guest, Chelsey Newmyer Coaching, we tackle procrastination, productivity, and provide you with actionable steps you can take to better manage your time. If you’re feeling stuck or stressed, this podcast episode is for you. Watch the full episode here -> https://lnkd.in/gyw9XYsR If you're interested in working with Chelsey to help strengthen your time management skills, you can do so here: https://lnkd.in/gz39uv6P #productivity #procrastination #TimeManagement

Consignment trips are common. An amazing team is not. We've been helping organizations Raise More Money for 9 years now, and the one thing that consistently makes our service stand out is our hospitality team. Auctioning off a trip is great. But, if the winner has a bad experience, they will ALWAYS associate that negative feeling with your organization. That's why our hospitality team goes out of their way to ensure that never happens. Susan Norris, Founder of Rescuing Hope, explained to us why she loves HGA. ...and it wasn't about the money. She explained to us that she knows her donors are in good hands because they come back to donate year after year. There are many consignment trip companies out there. Some bad, some good. We just ask that you do your research. Because choosing a team that treats donors as if they are their own can cause a snowball effect, which will maximize your fundraising efforts. If you're interested in how we can help you Raise More Money, please send us a message. We'd be happy to help 🙂

😅 Whew, Giving Tuesday is finally over...but now what? Well, if your first instinct is to say "Thank You", you'd be correct. But it's VERY important not to dilute your gratitude... In this podcast episode we asked Jason Ledlow, co-founder of HGA, a few questions regarding HOW your should tell your donors "Thank You". SPOILER 🤫 it doesn't involve ASKING. Jason mentioned, "Whenever somebody says, thank you, 'Hey, thanks for everything you did. By the way, could you give me some more money?' Well, it's like they gave me the thank you, and then they took it back. It's not really a thank you. It's just an opening for them to ask me for some more money." In other words, asking DILUTES gratitude. 😒 Donors when they receive a diluted thank you. 😄 Donors when they receive pure gratitude. So if your goal is to make your donors feel warm and fuzzy inside this year, you MUST keep the gratitude and the ask separate. Check out the full 13-minute episode. Link will be in the comments!
