This weekend, Team JZ will participate in the 7th annual Oakwood24 to continue raising awareness about the fentanyl epidemic and support the mission of Healing Transitions. After tragically losing their son, brother, and cousin Josh Zinner to fentanyl poisoning in 2023, Josh's family channeled their grief into action, creating Team JZ to honor his memory and help others in need. "When Josh passed away, it seemed like the most logical thing to me was to make people aware of fentanyl. Even though Healing Transitions is not focused on fentanyl awareness, it was easy to transition into discussing and being transparent about it with our friends and family."- Laurie Meares, Josh's aunt. Team JZ raised over $15,000 in their first year at Oakwood24, and they’re back this year to keep spreading awareness and breaking the stigma around addiction. Our peer-based model thrives because participants are surrounded by living proof that recovery is possible. Seeing these firsthand transformations inspires others to believe in their own potential for healing and recovery. This unique approach ensures that belief doesn’t have to happen overnight; it grows as they witness transformations in others and begin to believe in themselves. We're committed to giving participants the freedom to take recovery one step at a time. Join us in supporting that first step toward recovery: https://lnkd.in/etXUv-TK #HealingTransitions #BELIEVE #EndOfYear #LongTermRecovery #Recovery

This is one of my favorite events to support because of how our community rallies to raise awareness about addiction, which is a disease not a choice. Healing Transitions
At Data Bull, we’re proud to support our friend Jonathan Frey as he embarks on his incredible journey of running for 24 hours straight, covering 100+ miles, to raise funds and awareness for Healing Transitions this weekend in the 7th annual Oakwood 24!! Jon’s dedication and resilience are a true testament to the power of community and the commitment to making a difference. Healing Transitions provides life-changing resources for those recovering from addiction, offering hope and a path forward for so many in need. In the last 6 years, the Oakwood24 has raised almost 1 Million dollars for HT! 🚨 How You Can Help: Let’s rally together to support Jon’s Oakwood 24 and the vital work of Healing Transitions. Donate, show up, share, or simply spread the word—every step counts. Together, we can create change, one mile at a time. Join Jon and the community in Historic Oakwood this weekend. All are welcome!! https://lnkd.in/eAgB7Js #Oakwood24 #HealingTransitions #CommunityImpact #DataBull #Nonprofits #SupportLocal #Resilience

Jay Winfrey describes his years in active addiction as “wallowing in a mud puddle,” marked by pain and a loss of hope. But at Healing Transitions, he found the structure and community he needed to rebuild his life. Even when hope feels distant, we stand ready to BELIEVE that life in recovery is possible. We are committed to everyone who walks through our doors—as many times as it takes—until they start believing in themselves again. “Everyone’s story is worth being heard,” Jay reminds us. Recovery is rooted in belief. In the depths of active addiction, hope can fade, but at Healing Transitions, we help rekindle that hope through our peer-based model where participants witness firsthand the journeys of others committed to long-term change, inspiring them to believe in their own potential for healing.
