This Monday, the Harvard Business School Club of Dallas’s Real Estate Special Interest Group launched its 2024-2025 season with an impactful program focused on affordable housing. We were honored to have Megan Lasch Founder and CEO of Saigebrook Development | O-SDA Industries, as our speaker. Megan, a visionary leader who has developed over 33 LIHTC affordable housing communities in Texas brought her insights to life for approximately 28 HBS alumni at one of her developments, Kiva Apartments, in Dallas. Led by Rose Hasham our Real Estate SIG Lead, the fireside chat delved into the complexities of the affordable housing capital stack, state agency allocation plans, tax advantages, and the challenges of securing approvals for LIHTC projects. Megan’s emphasis on the importance of alignment with city planning and approvals underscored the broader impact these developments have on the community—a message with profound implications for us all. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this meaningful conversation.
