In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Harrah's and Harveys HR team hosted a salsa throwdown🌶️🌶️ this week with seven delicious salsas created by our talented chefs and cooks. Our Team Members then had the opportunity to taste the salsas and vote for their favorites. It was a tough competition, but our Team Members selected Chef Richard from Sapori as the winner - his savory green tomatillo salsa was a fan favorite! 🤩Congratulations, Chef - and huge thanks to all who participated and showed off their culinary skills.🍽️ When it comes to creating delicious recipes, our chefs are some of the best in the business!

We recently partnered with Commute with Enterprise to offer an incredible new vanpool benefit 🛺 to Harrah's and Harveys Team Members. Huge thanks to Brian Hitchcock and his team for helping to make this benefit a reality for our team! With this program, Team Members are able to utilize one of Commute with Enterprise's many vehicle options to create a very low-cost carpool. This is a great way for our Team Members to save money, as well as to prevent wear and tear on their own personal vehicles - all while helping to reduce emissions in the Tahoe basin. It's a win-win! 🎰🎰

Please join us in wishing Gary McGlaun , Director of Food Operations, a happy 50th work anniversary with Harrah's and Harveys - Lake Tahoe! 🥳🥳 Gary began his career with Harrah's in 1974 as a busser in the high-end Summit Restaurant, which later became home to our high-end Summit Suites. Throughout his earlier career, Gary worked as a server, a captain, an Asst Maitre D and Maitre D, before moving into management in the 90s. In 2014, Gary became the Director of Food Ops, where he has remained the successful leader of restaurant operations for both properties, overseeing many changes and new additions over the past decade. Today we celebrate the man, the myth, and the legend - cheers to 50 years, Gary! Here's to 50 more! 😎

Another Harrah's/Harveys Team Member BBQ in the books - this year, it was a luau theme! 🌺 Our Team Members enjoyed outdoor games and activities, raffles, face painting and a bounce house for kids of all ages, karaoke, hula lessons and more! The culinary team outdid themselves with a delicious Hawaiian-themed BBQ buffet 🔥🔥 and staff from all areas pitched in and volunteered their time to make this a super fun and engaging experience for our team! Thanks to all who attended - see you again next year! ☀️

Each quarter we celebrate a group of team members who are nominated by their leaders or peers for their outstanding work in the previous quarter. This past week we hit the floor to surprise our current winners and, as usual, it was a great time! Our team members are the heart of our business, and we love acknowledging their achievements. Shout out 🗣️ to our very own Mike Gibson for winning a property, a regional, and now a COMPANY-WIDE 2024 Caesars Founders Award! ✨ Mike was nominated for a Caesars Founders Award by his leadership team for demonstrating innovation and ingenuity, consistently blazing the trail, and for being an all-around role model. Two weeks ago, Harrah's and Harveys hosted our bi-annual Team Member Town Hall. This is a great opportunity for team members to learn about current and upcoming happenings, as well as to have a little fun and win some awesome prizes! May is Mental Health Awareness month and, last week, our HR team along with our on-site Wellness Clinic partners, Premise Health, hosted a Mental Health Expo for Harrah’s and Harveys Team Members. We are so thankful to our community partners, Live Violence Free, Suicide Prevention Network, and the Douglas County Partnership for joining us and spreading awareness towards each of their very important causes. It was a great turnout and a fun event – thanks to all who attended! 🧠💚 #mentalhealthmatters #togetherwewin

This week we held our annual Harrah's/Harveys Team Member Golf Tournament. It's a great opportunity for our team to get outside and have some fun while we engage in a little friendly competition. It was a chilly day, but we shared a lot of laughs, high fives, and even some friendly dance-offs - overall, a great time was had by all! Congrats to our winners, the Bogey Boys! Kudos to everyone who volunteered to plan, facilitate, and donate time, effort, and prizes to the event. Huge thanks to all who attended, especially our partners at The ROW. See you next time!
