RINGING IN REWA!! Such a beautiful wedding yesterday for a beautiful couple! & they rang in the new year the best way…. MARRIED🎉💍. We had a beautiful morning at the Hotel David Whitney in Detroit as the girls got ready, then enjoyed the two of them becoming one in front of God at their full Latin Mass at St Joseph’s Shrine. After the ceremony we headed over to one of my favorite places to shoot in Detroit, The Apparatus Room for a private bridal party cocktail hour before we headed out to Plymouth for their reception. It was a 12hr day for me and boy am I sore today LOL. But the photos are amazing *insert chefs kiss* and I’m so excited to share more!! I photographed the sweetest surprise proposal for Jacob + Kelsey yesterday morning at the Fisher Building in Detroit. Jacob planned this proposal with just under a week to go. He reached out to me on Monday last week and knew where he wanted to do it, what time, what vibe Kelsey would like, and planned it in 6 days. I could sense his excitement in every single email that we exchanged back and forth. He was honestly the most organized and communicative person I’ve worked with in this process and I’ve photographed a few surprise proposals. 😂 & now they’re ENGAGED🎉🍾💍.

Natalie & James🥹❤️ These two were so fun to work with! It was the first time the two of them had been in front of my camera together and I never wanted the session to end. Little fun fact: Natalie is my little “cousin”. I put quotations there because she’s not really blood related to me. BUT then again, if you know me, you’d know half the people I grew up calling family weren’t blood related to me at all😂 ANYWHO, I met Natalie when she was just a teeny girl, on Halloween night like 15 years ago. Seeing how much she’s grown and how much she’s been through that has shaped her into the young woman she is today is so amazing. And James has brought so much joy out of her through it all. So thankful to capture moments like this for people who are so near and dear to my heart🫶🏽.

I just have to share these details from my 09.07.2024 wedding!! They had the most gorgeous ceremony and reception at Cross W Ranch in Howell MI. I was in love with this venue and have been telling every couple that is looking for a country but elegant vibe to check out this place. & book me to photograph it😉

Not only did I just realize I never shared more from this ADORABLE family session, but this gloomy weather were having today has me missing these warm sunny Sunday's. These three were the absolute sweetest to work with! Little guy here wasn't having it pretty early into the session. BUT that is why my photography style is strictly candid. I love a few of those posed moments but the in between laughs, snuggles and just playing together makes these session THAT much better! Super thankful to all of my clients who trust me to capture such special moments in their lives. Memories to last a lifetime 💓

YEP you read that right!! At 18 years old after my high school graduation… I honestly thought I was going no where in life. I thought I would always have low paying jobs, would never be truly happy with what I was doing, and that GOT TO ME. I let it define the next 3 years of my life after that. I never really had that “career girl mindset”. I just thought if I waited long enough something was bound to happen. At 22 years old something in me just switched. I know exactly what that something was, but that’ll be a tale for another time. I quickly shifted from the “wait and see” mindset to the “get the hell up and go do it girl” and from that point forward I am just going for it. In every aspect of life. I’m not afraid to take leaps, I’m not afraid of change, I’m not afraid to try new things to help build my business higher. I just wanna continue to grow and thrive in my career because I feel an immense amount of joy and purpose from it. My message to anyone out there who has the same mindset that I did before….dont ever fricken give up. Don’t let others tell you that you can’t do something, because you can. Don’t let others opinions deter you from what will make you happy because at the end of the day it’s not about them, it’s about you. Don’t just wait for the good things to come. Keep pushing, keep striving, keep investing. Being a small business owner is not easy, it’s a lot to handle. Especially given the specific spot I’m at with my careers (yes that’s plural) but seriously it’s been so worth it to me and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. **video taken by Liv in the Moment Photography
