🎉 As 2024 winds down, we’re celebrating a remarkable year of building, advocacy, and community impact! 🏠💙 From the powerful Habitat on the Hill Day to the inspiring Carter Work Project, we’ve witnessed incredible dedication from Habitat leaders, volunteers, partners, and advocates across Minnesota. 💪✨ This year, foundations were poured, walls raised, solar panels installed, and critical repairs completed. Families shared their stories, showing us the life-changing power of safe, stable, and affordable homes. And our CEO, Cristen Incitti, brought Habitat’s mission to the national stage with a visit to the White House! 🏡🇺🇸 Together, we’ve built hope, celebrated milestones, and made a tangible difference in communities across the state. 🌟 Big thanks to Minnesota Housing for awarding over $10 million to Habitat for Humanity organizations and partners across Minnesota! Of that, Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota is receiving $2,686,000 to support affordable homeownership projects statewide. 🏠💙 Here are two incredible projects supported by network partners: ➡️ Bickham Court - in St. Louis Park will save 56 affordable homes, preventing families from being displaced. This project is led by Trellis, Missions Inc. Programs, and supported by the Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, preserving deeply affordable housing for families to thrive. ➡️ Dreamliner Estates - in St. Cloud will create energy-efficient, multi-generational homes for underserved communities. With a $3.4 million grant, this project will begin with eight twin-unit townhouses and plans to grow to 60 homes. It addresses the housing shortage in St. Cloud, where 17,000 new housing units are needed by 2040. While these projects aren’t directly affiliated with Habitat, they represent the collaborative spirit of our network partners working to ensure safe, stable housing for families across the state. Together, with over $67 million going toward affordable housing statewide—including 172 single-family homes—we’re making homeownership more accessible to Minnesotans.
