Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne is an affordable home ownership nonprofit serving Wayne County, NC and soon, Lenoir County. We believe that affordable home ownership is the key to helping families build better futures for themselves - futures that are built on new foundations of strength, stability and self-reliance. All of those are made possible through affordable home ownership as families experience more stable lifestyles in healthier homes where children can excel in school and parents can succeed at work.
We help low- to moderate-income families build these foundations by offering opportunities to become homeowners through our Building Foundations new home construction program, as well as through our Brush With Kindness home repair program for existing homeowners. Information and applications for these programs can be found on our website.
But we cannot do any of this work without the incredible support of our local community through volunteer hours, donations and prayer. Volunteer and donation opportunities also can be found on our website. We'd love to have you join us either on a construction site or in our ReStore, while donations of any amount make a difference.
Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, which was founded in 1976 and has about 1,200 affiliates across the the United States and works in nearly 70 countries around the world. Habitat Goldsboro-Wayne was founded in 2001 and we expect to complete our 100th new home construction sometime in late 2023 or early 2024.
The Habitat Goldsboro-Wayne ReStore is open Wednesday-Saturday, 9-5. Donations are accepted Tuesday-Saturday, 9-5. Free pickups also can be scheduled by calling 919-736-9550, emailing restore@habitatgoldsboro.org or through our website.
