Despite the wintry weather, H2M is thinking about fun in the sun! Once the weather warms up, the Baldwin High School will showcase their talents in the new athletic complex that H2M designed. The School District held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate their new facility, which includes a new multisport field, track, grandstands, press box, scoreboard, and storage building. The LI Herald recently featured Learning & Development Specialist Karla Blanco , SHRM-CP in an article about the Uniondale UFSD’s involvement in the New York State Pathways in Technology (NYS P-TECH) program. P-TECH is a collaborative program between schools and companies designed to prepare high school students for careers in science, technology, engineering, math, manufacturing, healthcare, and finance. Students in P-TECH can earn college credits towards an Associate degree. H2M is entering its third year of participating in Uniondale High School’s P-TECH program. Students visit H2M’s corporate office once per year and have the opportunity to speak directly with our CEO Rich Humann, P.E. and shadow our architects, engineers, and scientists. High schoolers also compete in a “marshmallow challenge” and receive help on resumes as they prepare for college or the workforce.
