A Clarification from the Owner of Group Resources Group Resources would like to address any misunderstandings or misleading statements circulating since we announced that we were victims of financial crimes perpetrated by one of our own employees. To clarify: Group Resources is not "closing its doors on September 1." Group Resources has not been "raided by the FBI." This situation is a serious matter caused by the criminal actions of a single individual, affecting the livelihoods of 35 families. For all of us here, Group Resources has been more than just a workplace—it has been a community where we’ve worked together for decades. I’ve personally dedicated 35 years of my life to this company, with the intention of finishing my career here. Unfortunately, due to these events, that won’t be the case for any of us. We have been the victims of financial crimes, and we acted swiftly, including terminating the individual responsible. We are actively collaborating with legal and insurance teams, as well as law enforcement, to pursue recovery. Our primary focus has been supporting our employees and clients. Since learning of this incident, I’ve communicated directly with all active clients, brokers, and partners, advising that it would be in the best interest of clients to transition to another TPA. We’ve already begun assisting with these transitions to ensure a smooth process. The impact of this situation is significant, and as a result, Group Resources will not continue as a full-service third-party administrator beyond November 1, 2024. I encourage everyone to avoid rumors and speculation. Instead, if you have concerns or questions, please reach out to me directly. I’m more than willing to answer your questions and provide any information I can. While I am deeply saddened by the situation, I have been incredibly grateful for the support and outreach from industry friends during this difficult time. Their words and gestures have been a source of strength. Additionally, I want to express my sincere appreciation for the professionalism, resilience, and commitment shown by my staff throughout this ordeal. Their dedication has been unwavering and is a testament to the spirit and integrity that has defined Group Resources. Andy Willoughby - President & CEO

As we honor #WomensHistoryMonth, we’re excited to share the perspectives and wisdom of some extraordinary women at Group Resources. Here are some of the powerful insights they’ve shared with us: Which women have inspired you? • Sheila: My first boss, who was retired from the military, taught me how to be punctual. • Julie: My mother, grandmothers, and mentor, Beth Mahaffey, have inspired me. • Patricia: My mom, the greatest woman in my life, was always kind, generous, and loving to everyone she met. Which famous woman in history would you like to meet? • Tamara: Her Majesty, the Queen of England. I would like to know what principles she adhered to that shaped her into the most influential and admired woman What advice would you give to young women entering the workforce? • Sheila: Work hard, and you will get noticed. • Patricia: Be the best person you can be, learn as much as you can, especially from your mentors, and strive to have a good work ethic. • Julie: Work steady and hard, stay focused, speed up typing, take notes, and listen to instructions. Do you have any invaluable advice from a woman in your life? Feel free to share it with us in the comments below!
