Through a collaborative process with the City of Lawrence and a dedicated neighborhood advisory group, local residents are reimagining and reshaping the future of this space. Together, they’re envisioning a hub that tackles climate challenges, reduces heat vulnerability, improves air quality, and serves as a place neighbors can enjoy. 🤝 This project is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when people work together to create change. But with a shared vision and unwavering community spirit, Groundwork New Orleans, resident and partners are flipping the script. The HCS Vision 2 Reality Stormwater Management Park is transforming the neighborhood—reducing flooding, cooling urban heat, and creating a vibrant space for connection and recreation.
