  • 🎭✨ December 13, 2024 - What an incredible Arts & Culture Day! The Lead Tucson Class of 2025 dove into Tucson’s vibrant arts and culture scene during Arts & Culture Day, presented by the Tucson Convention Center. The day was filled with energy, inspiration, and community connection. Highlights included lively merengue dancing with Barbea Williams. Zach Baker of the Downtown Tucson Partnership led an insightful walking tour of downtown Tucson. The class also enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by TCC Catering, savoring the flavors of Tucson in the heart of its cultural hub. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors who made the day possible. The Rialto Theatre served as our Issue Day Sponsor, while the Tucson Improv Movement kept us energized as the Snack Sponsor. Corporate support from the Pima Foundation, OneAZ Credit Union, and the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona underscored the importance of investing in leadership and community-building initiatives like this. Special recognition goes to our dedicated committee members—Caity Martin, Cheree Meeks, Helen Gomez, Josie Milliken, and Robyn Lambert—whose hard work and vision ensured an unforgettable experience. • 🎉Congratulations to the Tucson Youth Leadership Academy Fall Class of 2024!🎉 December 4, 2025 - Last night, we celebrated the Fall 2024 Tucson Youth Leadership Academy (TYLA) graduation at Santa Rita High School—and what a night it was! This inspiring cohort of young leaders shared their powerful personal mission statements and reflections on how TYLA has shaped their futures. From gaining confidence to embracing their unique strengths, their growth over the last four months has been nothing short of extraordinary. TYLA, created in partnership with the Pima County School Superintendent's Office in 2022, empowers high school students with hands-on leadership training and career exploration. Last night’s graduates joined over 120 TYLA alumni and became part of the Greater Tucson Leadership (GTL) family, which now includes more than 1,200 changemakers across Tucson. This program would not have been possible without the incredible support of our partners and sponsors. Our heartfelt thanks go to our program sponsors—Raytheon Technologies, the Center for the Future of Arizona, Caterpillar Inc., Tucson Business Networking, Cerulean Financial, Hughes Federal Credit Union, @Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR CHARITABLE FOUNDATION, Tucson Electric Power, and the Education Enrichment Foundation—for their generous contributions. Additionally, we are immensely thankful for the support of our corporate sponsors: the Pima Foundation, Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, and OneAZ Credit Union. Together, these supporters make a lasting impact on our future leaders and the Tucson community. TYLA is a Qualified Charitable Organization (QCO) in Arizona, which means your contributions provide dollar-for-dollar tax credits while supporting future cohorts of exceptional young leaders. Visit https://lnkd.in/eyrFK9ze to learn more. Here’s to the bright futures ahead for these outstanding leaders! #TYLA2024 #YouthLeadership #FutureLeaders #TucsonStrong #GTLAlumni
