San Antonio Earns a CityHealth Gold Medal for Second Consecutive Year! 🥇 San Antonio was one of seven cities nationwide to receive this top honor. CityHealth evaluates the 75 largest U.S. metropolitan areas based on policies that promote health and well-being across 12 key categories, including housing, green spaces, education, and infrastructure. Gold Medals recognize excellence in specific policy areas, while an overall Gold Medal is awarded to cities that achieve gold ratings in at least five categories. A new terminal that will ELEVATE/SAT and create new opportunities for the region. Exciting progress is underway at San Antonio International Airport (SAT) with the groundbreaking of the highly anticipated Terminal C. City and community leaders gathered to celebrate this transformative project, which promises to enhance connectivity and create new opportunities for the region. Slated for completion in 2028, the new terminal will add 17 gates, increasing the airport’s total to 40. Among these, three gates will accommodate widebody aircraft, enabling more international long-haul flights and expanding global access to and from San Antonio. Air service connectivity is vital for economic growth. This new terminal will not only support existing businesses but also position San Antonio and South Texas as a prime destination for companies seeking to invest in the region. Terminal C will reflect the unique spirit of San Antonio, with its entryway and courtyard inspired by the iconic River Walk, a world-renowned symbol of the city.
