As world leaders strive to solve the complexities of financing first of a kind projects and assets at #COP29, the Global Climate Finance Accelerator’s Susan McGeachie and Manju Seal, MBA,MA,MM sat down with private markets investors at PEI New Private Markets' Impact and Transition Investor Summit in New York last week to unpack on-the-ground solutions to achieve global objectives. Strategies to invest in #industrialdecarbonization leverage the innovative potential of private markets across the entire investment lifecycle, from the creation of companies built on aggregated #IP to adoption enabled by project finance. #Venturecapital is paving the way for the commercialization of technologies that give us a chance at a #sustainableworld. Supportive policies can expedite deployment, but technologies will move up the readiness spectrum irrespective of politics. And, of course, threaded throughout the week’s packed agenda was the requisite discussion on the role of AI, not as an end in and of itself, but as a critical enabler of broader advancements. #energytransition #impactinvesting

Join Global Climate Finance Accelerator's Susan McGeachie and Manju Seal, MBA,MA,MM at the Impact and Transition Investor Summit North America on November 12 and 13 in New York. #impactinvesting #transitionfinance #publicpolicy #capitalmarkets #civilsociety
Join us at the North America Impact & Transition Investor Summit in New York next week to unpack the implications for impact investing in a new political environment. History shows that alternative sources of capital will bridge potential gaps caused by near term policy shifts. Philanthropic funding allocated to climate change mitigation tripled over the president-elect’s previous tenure according to ClimateWorks Foundation research. The Climate Policy Initiative estimates that the private sector financed an average of $4.7 billion per year on adaptation over a similar timeframe. The investment need, of course, is much larger and there is no shortage of opportunities. I'm looking forward to moderating the Summit's closing plenary on the deep tech and AI solutions that give us a shot at building a sustainable world with experts Milo Werner, Danielle Joseph, and Sasha Novograd Brown.
