Global Atlantic is proud to announce the first 10 recipients of the Global Atlantic Scholarship Program! We believe that every individual should have the opportunity to pursue their academic dreams without the burden of financial constraints, and we couldn’t be prouder to support this incredible group – the next generation of insurance and financial services leaders. The program has a strong focus on assisting students from underserved backgrounds and awards up to 10 scholarships of $5,000 to students with an interest in insurance or financial services who are enrolled full-time at a four-year college or university in the United States. While the 2024-25 application period has closed, stay tuned for the opening of the 2025-26 application window – launching May 2025! Once again, the island has spoken! Yesterday, Global Atlantic – in partnership with the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation – announced the winners of the Second Annual Wave of Opportunity Pitch Competition, designed to honor small business innovation and entrepreneurship in Bermuda. After 400 Bermuda residents and virtual fans weighed in, we congratulate the five winners who were each awarded $25,000 grants during the competition! The three main category winners are: Dr Adriene Berkeley of PsyNeu; Jekon Edness and Kian Butterfield of Bermuda Sports Radar; and Ashleigh Simons of Sade Milan Skin. The youth category winner is: Nico Bean of Flow by Nico. The “People’s Choice Award” winner is: Keely Trott of NBK School of Nails. Forbes recently released its list of “America’s Best Companies,” and we were thrilled to see KKR, Global Atlantic’s parent company, ranked at number 10 out of 300 companies.
