About us

I started this page in order to shed light on some things I have noticed in the industry, specifically in Tech. You guys know exactly what I am talking about. You apply for a job posting, wait days or weeks, don't hear back, and see the same job posted a month later. Or you apply for a job and go through 7+ rounds of interviews only for the generic email that says they hired someone better. Yet a similar role is available two months later. Jobs are receiving hundreds (sometimes thousands) of applications but somehow couldn't get the right candidate for the position. My goal here is simple, expose the companies engaging in what are known as ghost jobs so that we can give some power back to the workers. If you find out a job has been recently doing this wouldn't you want to know before you get your hopes up and hit "Apply"? We need to bring transparency back to the workforce and I believe this is one way to do it. Now the truth is I can't do this alone, I need your help to find these companies practicing in this way. If you believe there is a company out there doing this send me a message here so I can go and look into it and publish what I found. If you believe Company A is posting a "Role" tell me about the role and when you applied. The best part is you do not have to be concerned about being publicly blacklisted from the company or similar companies because I don't post who submitted the tip. Let this page be a way for you to expose these companies and their deceptive practices without the fear of a career freefall. I will for now focus on tech but I will look into any industry that is engaging in this practice. I hope that this page can be a service to you all and hope to hear from you soon!

    *repost* It shouldn't be normal for people to be unintentionally unemployed for MONTHS. It shouldn't be normal for it to take people more than 2 months to find a job when they’ve put in over 100 applications over that span. It shouldn't be normal to have more than 1 round of interviews for entry and mid-level positions. It shouldn't be normal to have to fill out applications, give writing samples, take assessment(s), go through 5 rounds of interviews and still be rejected. It shouldn't be normal for people to have to prematurely withdrawal from their 401ks to survive, because their unemployment ran out or they don't qualify. It shouldn't be normal to require 3-5 years of experience and a college degree for an “entry” level position. It shouldn't be normal to recieve a rejection email less than 3 minutes after submitting a resume. Those of us in the current job market are not being "too picky". We aren’t lazy. We aren’t asking for too much. We don't want something we haven't earned. We know our talents, skills, and strengths. We know what we have to offer. Some of us are wracking our brains day and night trying to think of alternative ways of generating income, because traditional routes seem impossible to access now. This shouldn't be the new normal and it needs to change NOW.

  • This is absolutely true. All of the scam recruiters on here asking for personal information and SS numbers for jobs. taking advantage of desperate people that just want to get their life back on track. it's truly shameful. Best of luck to everybody out there right now looking for a job.

    Genuinely, what is going on with LinkedIn. . . . I thought this was meant to be a space for professionals to network, help each other out, and land new roles. Lately, I have seen nothing but scam artist recruiters, fake job ads, and "rewrite your resume" bots. LinkedIn you need to get it together and start policing your platform better because it makes it impossible for job hunters to get anything done or feel any kind of hope whatsoever.   • Update to Potential Ghost Job Postings! 🚨 Before you invest time applying to roles at certain companies, it’s important to stay updated about their recent layoffs. When companies announce large workforce layoffs, the likelihood of them actively hiring shortly afterward is slim to none. Here are a few examples from just this month. In Tech: 1️⃣ Dropbox cut 528 employees, approximately 20% of its workforce, citing the need for a leaner structure and cost efficiency. 2️⃣ Oracle underwent another major layoff in the " several hundred". 3️⃣ Bosch announced 7,000 global job cuts due to weak business performance, with further reductions potentially on the horizon. 4️⃣ Outreach laid off 9% of its workforce to align with its profitability goals and growth strategy. 5️⃣ Lukka: Cut 31 jobs in its New York City office. 6️⃣ Chegg Inc. Let go of 319 employees at its Santa Clara headquarters. While layoffs don’t always mean hiring freezes, this should give us pause as to whether or not they are actively hiring at this time. If you’re eyeing a position at any of these companies, double-check if the position aligns with their current circumstances. I'll post more in other sectors next week.   • Some of these fears are because the industries aren't actually hiring. I need you guys to understand something. YOU ARE BEING GASLIT INTO BELIEVING COMPANIES ARE HIRING. They are not, there are barely any entry level or any level positions right now. This is not just the gaming industry (although hit the hardest) More than half of all companies posting jobs are admitting that they have no plans to hire. That is only the ones admitting it.They are collecting data gauge the market to see how many people are actively looking for work. That's my PSA for the day. #jobs

    Honestly, can I be real for a second? I genuinely fear for the future of Entry Level. Not for our Industry alone, but EVERYWHERE. Fast Food. Retail. Service jobs in general. Corporations like McDonald's, Burger King, and other big chains who say they are hiring and yet when someone applies all they get are crickets. 😥 Not even a rejection. Not even a confirmation that they were seen. It can be isolating. As someone who's experienced this, know this: You are NEVER alone. Jobseeking is a full time job.
