What an exciting milestone! 11,000 new grid-connected EV's, halfway to our goal with California Energy Commission. Standing up a new partnership like this is always a team effort. Special thanks to Matthew Grace Theo Kanning Alejandro Benavides Amanda Vrbas and many more for the hard work. Can't wait to see what you all do in the next 6 months.
Big Optiwatt news this week!! Six months ago, Optiwatt and the California Energy Commission (CEC) joined forces to help over 22,000+ California EV owners save money on their electrical bills. We’re excited to share that we’re halfway there! Together we have enrolled 11,000 new grid-connected EVs since launch, halfway to the ambitious phase 1 target set in the CEC’s Responsive, Easy Charging Products With Dynamic Signals (REDWDS) grant. The program goal is to bring the benefits of EV-managed charging to more Californians, with a focus on rate savings and affordability for all. Optiwatt shares that mission and is proud that ~40% of the new enrollments come from California disadvantaged communities. This rapid growth showcases the ability for EV-managed charging to scale when you combine a compelling value story for drivers, the best customer experience, and a motivated partner. We’re excited to reach even more Californian EV drivers and save them even more with real-time rate-optimized charging, as dynamic rate programs become available. #Optiwatt #EVCharging #EV #Utilities #CaliforniaEnergyCommission #EnergyRates #EnergyEquity #California #VPPs
