Company culture doesn’t happen by accident—it’s designed deliberately. On the heels of our Comparably Award for Best Company Culture, Garner’s Chief People Officer Valentina G. sat down with Adam Mendler to discuss our guiding principles as a hybrid organization and share what makes Garner a great place to work. Together they discuss: ▪️ How intentional behaviors go further than generic mission statements ▪️ Why leadership is about modeling values, not just declaring them ▪️ How candor is an organizational superpower ▪️ Why companies are responsible for replicating the in-person experience remotely. “The doctor may only be 20% of your healthcare bill, but their prescription patterns control the other 80%.” The U.S. healthcare system incentivizes overtreatment, prioritizing quantity over quality—even when ‘doing less’ often leads to better outcomes. 👉 When profit takes priority over patient well-being, costs will keep climbing. CEO Nick Reber explores this issue on the Outcomes Rocket podcast, breaking down Garner's research on how to shift the system to focus on outcomes instead of dollars. There’s a right and a wrong way to evaluate doctors. The wrong way: grouping episodes of care into massive piles of data that account for general metrics, like risk and cost (what most care navigation and transparency tools do). The better way: a precise, zoomed-in look at each decision a doctor makes (from tests, to imaging and prescriptions), and each unique health outcome for the patient (complication rates, revisions) — spanning over 500 metrics that drill into the exact cost and results. Better data transforms the way patients choose their healthcare. CEO Nick Reber joined CareTalk Podcast: Healthcare. Unfiltered. with David E. Williams to examine the role of data in holding providers accountable for better outcomes. 👉 Watch now: https://lnkd.in/gDziU2Yw

Most healthcare benefits solutions are a zero-sum game: reducing costs for employers means increasing costs for employees. But it doesn’t have to be that way. By changing behavior it’s possible to create a system where both sides win and no one has to compromise savings or well-being. SVP of Alliances, Kirk Czonstka, discussed Garner’s incentive-driven model on The H.I.T. Podcast, sharing how better-quality care for employees also results in a win for employers — lowering health plan spend by 12% PEPM. Kirk and Tobias Kennedy also discuss: 👉 The secret to Garner’s approach that results in 45% employee engagement 👉 How seeing better doctors lowers the cost of care by 27% per episode Watch Part 1: https://lnkd.in/gZyFHEB2
