About us

The Georgetown University Student Advocacy Office is a student-run organization that provides free and confidential advice on matters pertaining to the Georgetown University disciplinary process. Founded in 2011, the SAO is an autonomous unit of the Georgetown University Student Association (student government) and is led by the Director of the Student Advocacy Office. Our threefold mission is to: 1) Assist students in every step of their particular case, including an initial consultation, preparing for a meeting, adjudication, and the appeals process 2) Advocate in the interest of students on matters of policy in dealing with various stakeholders, including the university administration, neighborhood associations, and others to promote procedural integrity and fairness 3) Serve as a resource for on- and off-campus students and raise awareness of students' rights and responsibilities We can be reached by visiting us during office hours, by email at studentadvocacy.gusa@gmail.com, or through Facebook @GeorgetownSAO.
