The first comprehensive registry of clinical & genomic data on gastric cancer. Become our partner in research.
About us
The Gastric Cancer Registry is the first comprehensive registry on stomach cancer in the nation. Our researchers utilize clinical samples to conduct sophisticated and advanced genomic analyses and compile information from a large group of people. This may include future studies that identify gastric cancer’s molecular complexities and map associations between specific genetic errors and a patient’s prognosis and outcome. Information encompassed in our secure, HIPAA-compliant database includes lifestyle, health and family histories, environmental factors, as well as physical samples of tumors from people with stomach cancer. By gathering data and samples from patients across the country—one day, potentially across the world—we aim to provide an excellent data set for future researchers who want to study gastric cancer. We hope to facilitate research collaborations from all types of science including epidemiology, survivorship, prevention science, treatment, genetics, and more. We encourage all eligible people to sign up with the registry to facilitate the conduction of breakthrough research. Please note: in order to protect the privacy of our participants and maintain our HIPAA-compliancy, please refrain from including ANY personal information (medical or family history, diagnoses, etc.) in your comments on or messages to this page. Instead, direct any and all questions regarding the Registry, enrollment, and/or the research we conduct to gcregistry@stanford.edu. Learn more on our website, https://gcregistry.stanford.edu/, and on our Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/gcregistry/. ~ The Gastric Cancer Registry was created with the generosity of Diane and Ronald Weintraub, in memory of their beloved daughter Beth Weintraub Schoenfeld.
