🌿 Goodness from the Garden 🌿 We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported our Goodness from the Garden fundraiser a few weeks ago! The energy and enthusiasm for uplifting neighborhood leaders and cultivating green spaces truly humbled and inspired our team. We can't say enough about the amazing staff at Este Garden and Bar Toti, including Anamaria Gutierrez, who shared with us the magic of the garden. Deep appreciation for all that you do! A Texas-sized thank you to our phenomenal volunteers. Shout out to Festival Beach Food Forest, Central Texas Seed Savers, and Friends of Grand Meadow Park for sharing their inspiring work and allowing us to get our "hands in the dirt" making tinctures and packing seeds! Together, we continue to work towards our vision of reconnecting people to growing food, nature, and each other. Thank you for making this possible with your unwavering support! #GoodnessFromTheGarden #AustinCommunity #Austinnonprofit #UrbanGreenSpaces #FruitfulCommons #NeighborhoodLeaders #GardenEvent #thankyou

Exciting news! American Forests has expanded the hashtag #TreeEquity Score Analyzer to the greater Austin area in Texas with the support of Fruitful Commons, local partners and funding from Salesforce. Each Tree Equity Score Analyzer is developed for a specific single city or region ready to take action on Tree Equity. Tree Equity Score is publicly accessible and guides efforts based on canopy cover, climate, and socio-economic data. In the Austin area, increasing urban tree canopy can help uplift historically underserved communities and mitigate heat island effects, while also bringing trees, orchards, and food forests to more schools and community accessible spaces. Special thanks to everyone who worked to bring this tool to hashtag #Austin!
