Adoption Resources for Professionals: Friends in Adoption helps social workers, doctors, nurses, Planned Parenthood, and other health care provider staff assist patients by offering a safe place to explore pregnancy options without pressure. Friends in Adoption understands that expectant parents may be considering all their options, and we deliver respect and compassion during the decision-making process. Free Training Workshops for Providers — Friends in Adoption offers a variety of informative training opportunities for healthcare/counseling professionals or anyone else working with individuals or couples who may be considering adoption for their unborn or already-born child. All workshops are free and can be held virtually or in person nationwide. Friends in Adoption works with those interested in adopting and pregnant individuals/couples considering placing their children with adoptive families. While Friends In Adoption works mainly in the northeast, we provide complete personal support and guidance to pregnant individuals/couples throughout the United States. Friends in Adoption welcomes all beliefs and faiths (we are a secular/non-faith-based, licensed agency). We refer patients to independently licensed counselors and trained adoption attorneys. Friends in Adoption is an inclusive agency that treats all members of the adoptive triad equally. If a pregnant individual/couple chooses adoption, Friends in Adoption provides lifelong support before, during, and post adoption.
