About us

Our mission is to provide a clean and sober environment for men and women to recover from drug and alcohol addiction. Throughout our program, we work with our guests to lay a solid foundation in sobriety and equip them with the tools necessary to achieve and maintain long-term recovery. We believe this way of life is attainable for all and begins with an attitude of willingness and an honest effort to change lifestyles. Why We’re Different Throughout the duration of our program, guests attend twelve-step recovery meetings held at our facility as well as other locations. At Freeman Recovery Center, groups are lead by our experienced staff and volunteers who are all active in the local recovery community. Guests will read, discuss and write about their experiences as a result of working through the twelve-steps during their stay here. We believe that involvement in these fellowships is essential and has been proven to enhance the recovery process for each individual. Willingness, open-mindedness and honesty are the cornerstones of our program. We need to be honest about our struggles, ready to receive new information and willing to take action. Freeman Recovery Center is open to all who desire to stop drinking and/or using drugs. Recovery is possible for all who seek it and learning to live a new way of life is attainable, even if you don’t yet believe it!   Welcome to Freeman Recovery Center! Contact us at (615) 645-3792

This month, Recovery Unplugged and Freeman Recovery Center hosted their second Spiritual Care Network (SCN) meeting at Thistle Farms in Nashville, TN. SCN brings together addiction and mental health professionals with faith leaders to create a stronger, more compassionate support system for those in recovery, and Thistle Farms empowers women seeking sanctuary by providing housing, community, and meaningful employment. A huge thank you to our speakers, Monty Burks, PhD., CPRS and Carrie Fraser for sharing their expertise with our community. We’re honored to have played a part in establishing the Nashville chapter and to keep showing up for these important conversations. Recovery takes a village, and we’re grateful to be part of this one. #RecoveryUnplugged #SpiritualCareNetwork #Bellyofthewhale #Addictionandmentalhealth

A huge THANK YOU to our Integrative Life Center friends, Jaime Gibbons and Cheryl Brown, for coming out to present to our staff and have open dialogue on the importance of family engagement in recovery! Addiction is a disease that impacts not just the individual, but the entire family unit. 💙 As we approach the holidays, we recognize that navigating family dynamics can be particularly challenging and may activate feelings that still need healing. Unresolved tensions, pressure to conform, and the grief and loss that often arise during this season can serve as powerful triggers. Let’s take a moment to be gentle with ourselves and remember the importance of self-compassion as we enter this time of year. It’s okay to honor our feelings and prioritize our well-being. 🫶🙏
