WORK IN PROGRESS! 🚧 The Stonecrest Villa project, which is on the campus of Covenant Village Inc is moving right along! Lower-level footers will be completed tomorrow, and the remainder of the week we will begin forming the lower-level back cast-in-place walls. These walls will be poured on December 23rd starting at 1am (wow - go team!) The CMU perimeter walls will start going up the day after Christmas and we plan to have all the lower-level structural walls completed and ready for steel by the end of January. As they say...a little progress each day adds up to big results! 👏

After the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina, our community has been eagerly searching for moments of hope and celebration. This Wednesday, we found one at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for AdventHealth Hendersonville's brand-new Surgical Center. It was an exciting and momentous occasion as we joined Advent Health, Med Development, Hoefer Welker Architects, and the incredible Blum team in celebrating this major achievement. We are immensely proud of our Blum teammates, who exemplified resilience and teamwork in the face of adversity. Despite their own families dealing with the aftermath of flooding, they persevered and completed the Advent Health Surgery Center and medical office building within weeks of the original completion date! December is in full swing and the Brown Family Conservatory at Reynolda House Museum of American Art / Reynolda Gardens is full of beautiful holiday plants and flowers. Breaking ground is the first big milestone for every project, and on Wednesday we did just that at Penick Village in Southern Pines, NC! The scope of work includes a wellness pavilion, independent living residences, a welcome center, and campus renovations. On November 12th & 13th, Blum’s Preconstruction Department held their yearly retreat at the Truist Leadership Institute in Greensboro, which was recently completed by Blum. The entire team was in attendance and they participated in informative presentations, thoughtful discussions, and shared valuable input with each other. The inspirational setting and the desire to strive for improvement set the groundwork for continued improvement and growth. On Tuesday night, they enjoyed showing off their skills at Top Golf and on Wednesday they wrapped up the retreat with a team social.
