About us

VCs are from Mars, Founders are from Venus. Metaphorically both come from different planets and therefore lies the differences in communication styles, and relationship dynamics between the two parties. Founder X VC is a monthly podcast where we aim to, at each session - demystify each so that they are no longer aliens to one another. A must-hear for founders, each month, we will talk about various topics such as the component of a term sheet or pitch deck, how due diligence is done, predatory VCs, disillusioned founders etc. We will also talk about other things such as what an MVP is, achieving product market fit and many more so that founders know how to make their startup fundable as well as their journey a better success. By Lance Quek, Senior Managing Partner of Blackforest Global Management (https://www.blackforestvc.com), LP of multiple venture funds in SEA and USA as well as the chairman of BANSEA, South East Asia's largest and oldest business angel network and an angel himself - together with Daniel Tan, the founder of FindTheLoan.com a fintech startup and loan marketplace that aims to help businesses with better access to finance and financial education. Founder. VC, a no-barrier, witty conversation, also invites guest speakers from VCs and founders from various sectors and stages, from time to time, to share their philosophy, know-how and story.
