Currently, 10 states in the US do not participate in the Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) program. But even if your company's operating state isn't included in the UCR program, that doesn’t mean you're off the hook with filing a UCR. Any company that carries cargo over state or international lines with commercial vehicles needs to file a UCR. The FMCSA recently revoked the 'Registered Devices' status of five additional Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs), joining the 300+ previously revoked devices. Every 12 months, DOT-regulated employers must obtain an updated motor vehicle report (MVR) for each CDL driver to ensure they are still qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle.
