We're thrilled to share that Fondazione Libellula has organized the first dynamic brainstorming sessions with the participation of the other partners, IESME and Cámara de Comercio Italiana Barcelona (CCIB). This session is part of a broader effort to refine and adapt 𝗙𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗦 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 based on valuable feedback gathered from roundtables. The goal? To ensure the programme truly addresses the needs of our target groups. The training content, initially developed in English and then available in Italian and Spanish, will be revised and adjusted according to these insights. All partners will be contributing to this process, sharing their expertise and providing feedback for an optimized outcome. At the FOGES Round Table in Gandia (Spain) organized by 𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗶́𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘇 and Cámara de Comercio Italiana Barcelona (CCIB), held on June 26, 2024, experts from across the sports sector came together to discuss the pressing issue of gender equality. The conversation highlighted both progress and ongoing challenges, such as wage disparities and stereotypes in sports. Leaders emphasized the importance of role models and targeted education as tools for change, acknowledging that early interventions could help break down gender barriers in sports. This event underscored that while there have been positive steps, such as quotas for female representation in sport clubs, much work remains. As we continue to foster collaborative solutions through initiatives like FOGES, we are determined to push for true equality in the sports world, ensuring opportunities for all athletes. #FOGES #gender #erasmus #equality #inclusion #sport

  • The world's spotlight is on Paris... What better time to reflect on 5 Olympic news stories that closely affect us? 1) It will be the first Games with an equal gender distribution among participants: 50% male athletes and 50% female athletes. In Tokyo 2021, female athletes were 48.8%. However, equal participation is not the same as equity. 2) These Olympics will welcome the first nursery school in history, thanks to Allyson Felix, a champion athlete retired in 2022. 3) 70 French institutions have pledged to dedicate sports facilities to outstanding female athletes. In France, only 1% has a woman's name on it. What about us? 4) The Olympic Committee has released Guidelines for Fair, Equitable and Inclusive Gender Representation for the media (and not only). 5) Men will be allowed to compete in team synchronised swimming for the first time. FOGES (Fostering Gender Education for Sports Staff) is the Project co-funded by the European Union coordinated by Fondazione Libellula and in partnership with Cámara de Comercio Italiana Barcelona (CCIB) and IES María Enriquez. #FOGES #gender #erasmus #equality #inclusion #sport
