On Monday, we gathered to honor MLB’s newest police officers and recognize Sergeant Moyer’s well-deserved promotion. Guided by Greg Donovan, MLB's Airport Executive Director, and Chief Purden, the ceremony was filled with pride and appreciation. Mr. Donovan administered the oath to our new officers, emphasizing their vital role in ensuring traveler safety and national security. His heartfelt gratitude echoed through the room. MLB welcomes you to our new Tenant Spotlight feature. Each month, we will share an airport tenant and what they are doing to support our community and beyond. Human space flight requires the protection of the most precious of payloads, humans themselves. Operator Solutions (OS), located in the MLB’s Aerospace Center, specializes in just that, first by providing survival training to private space crews, including Axiom Space, and then by being operational ready for the search and rescue of space flight crews if and when needed. This (8a) Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business combines the most highly trained search and rescue specialists, medical doctors, human space flight experts, and fixed (aircraft) and rotary-wing (helicopter) crews to deliver the most capable rescue service in the industry today. Operator Solutions also provides consulting assistance to companies developing future spaceflight programs and vehicles. “Operator Solutions’ Melbourne facility exhibits a robust commitment to safety, well-qualified personnel, and efficient operational protocols. The comprehensive safety management and rescue plans, coupled with a proactive response to feedback, position OS as an exemplary contractor in the execution of inherently dangerous missions”, shares Shane Smith, CFO. We have so many inspirational women who fly in and out of #FlyMLB. As we continue to celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth, we remember the visit "The Ninety-Nines" had to MLB last month! Who are "The Ninety-Nines"? They are a group founded by 99 women pilots in 1929 to help promote aviation to other females, to create Mentorship opportunities, and for camaraderie. Amelia Earhart was its first president.
