We would like to give a special shout out to Financial Planning's Tobias Salinger for covering real issues that matter, especially when it comes to women and diverse financial service professionals. His recent article, "Is 'DEI' over or just evolving? Here's how FP covered it in 2024" found here: https://lnkd.in/g5STSUQa is a really important issue in financial services. And, it's one that we at F&F are doubling down on in 2025. Starting an article off stating the very honest truth, "Many of the same conservatives who view DEI and another previously noncontroversial acronym — ESG, or investing with environmental, social and governance goals — with similar skepticism toward so-called woke liberal political motivations are cheering President Donald Trump's impending return to the White House next year" shows the commitment that Tobias and others at FP have when it comes to journalism and the need to discuss diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Hannah Moore, CFP® made some salient points in the article and we respect and applaud the work she and many others are doing to keep the lens focused on women and diverse candidates when it comes to growing our profession. This has been a #1 focus for us at Females and Finance, too. In the coming days, you will see some announcements of some changes and additions we are making in the Females and Finance Community so growth can continue to happen.
