Earlier this year, we launched Humans of Factor, a series of social stories highlighting the people who make Factor such an amazing, diverse and exciting place to be. Since then, we have featured close to 20 individuals, celebrating the incredible things they do outside of Factor. From resilience after trauma to parenting (kids and Instagram-famous pooches), competing on the global sporting stage and raising funds for charity, we want to take a moment to spotlight the incredible Factorians we are lucky to call colleagues. We might be biased, but we think they are a pretty awesome bunch. Watch this space for more inspiring stories in 2025 and beyond!

#HumansofFactor. Meet Patrycja Kiczak, Contract Review Utility Manager at Factor! It's an exciting time to work in contract review. The integration of AI into our work over the past year has been transformative. Tools like Mosaic (Factor’s contract extraction, interpretation and reasoning tool) have revolutionized how we handle contract reviews, reducing timelines from months to weeks. As I manage my team of nine handling complex projects from mergers and acquisitions to regulatory compliance, I've seen firsthand how AI enhances our efficiency while allowing us to focus on strategic decision-making and quality control. My fascination with AI extends beyond the office. I've embraced tools like ChatGPT as my personal assistant, always engaging with it in a polite, conversational manner – I find this approach leads to more accurate and effective assistance. Recently, it helped me plan my solo adventure to Warsaw, where I attended my first international Zumba dance fiesta. I took master classes with my favorite instructor, Agnieszka, alongside teachers from around the world – which was an amazing experience and far outside my comfort zone! Zumba has been my constant companion for 14 years, a four-times-a-week ritual that clears my mind after intense project days. But there's another passion in my life that might surprise people – I'm an avid speedway racing fan, a tradition passed down from my grandfather. The live events are an intense sensory experience – from the thunderous roar of the engines to the unique smell of the racing environment. While my work life is all about structure and precision, these passions are a wonderful release. There's something magical about the contrast – the raw energy of speedway racing and the freedom of movement in Zumba class that help my brain switch off after the working day. From spring to autumn, my weekends are filled with the thrill of racing and family gatherings at the stadium. During the off-season, Zumba keeps my energy flowing and stress at bay. At Factor, I love seeing clients return project after project based on our successful deliveries. And just as I build those lasting client relationships at work, my hobbies have created their own special bonds - from sharing my love of speedway with my young nephew to the sense of community at Zumba parties, building meaningful relationships is at the heart of everything I do. Being AI-enabled won't change that!

How can legal teams truly harness AI to drive impact? By embedding AI within existing business context and communication layers. At our recent webinar, Factor's Hitesh Talwar highlighted the need for AI to be grounded in the specific business environment in which it operates. AI tools should seamlessly integrate with the current systems and workflows of its users, rather than requiring users to adapt to new, standalone technology platforms. Missed the webinar?
