  • 📈 Report: Company-wide AI use tied to more profitable outcomes In its recent Global State of AI report for 2024, McKinsey & Company applauded the overall growth in AI adoption as 65% of businesses reported using AI - nearly twice what was reported just 10 months earlier. However, the extent of that usage company-wide is still massively under-developed with 72% of companies stating they are using AI in just one or two departments.  Fifty percent are using it in up to 3 or more departments while only 8% are using it in 5 or more departments. The report also called out a small subset of respondents (46 out of 876) as “AI high performers”.  These companies reported that a meaningful share of their organizations’ EBIT can be attributed to their deployment of gen AI. What was one of the differentiators of these AI High Performers? 👉 Broader company use. AI high performers use gen AI in an average of three functions versus two for all others.  Like most others, they were typically using it in marketing and sales and product or service development. But they were much more likely than others to use it within other functions like risk, legal, compliance, corporate finance, supply chain and inventory management. Not surprising. We know that integrating AI into the everyday work of all departments is a challenge.  That’s why we built our AI Toolbar. Our Expertly AI Toolbar has built-in AI actions for each of your departments’ most common needs. It sits right in their browser, dynamically showing them when and how it can help.  You can check out the link in the comments if you’re interested in joining our waitlist and gaining early access for your team or company. 💡 How are you currently using AI within your team? What other departments could benefit from it? Share below. 👇 The link to the full research is in the comments.

  • 📄 Report: 77% of employees feel lost using AI at work. According to a recent research report by Slingshot, despite more businesses introducing AI to the workplace, there’s still a long way to go to get the kinds of outcomes they had hoped. It seems employees aren't quite using it the way it was intended. Employers reported implementing AI to assist employees with initial research for tasks and projects and help them manage their workflow and analyze data. Yet, nearly two-thirds of employees reported mainly using AI to double-check their work. That’s not the only gap the study found between employer expectations and employee sentiment. While 72% of employers say their employees are at least adequately trained on AI, only 52% of employees believe they are. And only 23% of employees feel completely educated and trained on AI, with the other 77% feeling lost. Do you feel confident in your team using AI in their day-to-day work?
