This week, we’re shining the #EverwiseSpotlight on Scott Kosteba, a mortgage loan originator serving the northwest Indiana region. Scott has more than 24 years of experience in the mortgage industry and is licensed in 25 states across the country. Through his extensive experience, he’s able to provide personalized service to his clients in the Lake and Porter County communities, guiding them through the home-buying process. “Buying a home is one of the biggest purchases my clients will ever make,” says Scott. “As a mortgage loan originator, it’s my job to look out for our members’ best interest and help them achieve their dream home. It’s such a pleasure to be their guide through each step of the process. That’s one of the things I love most about working at Everwise—the amount of attention we provide to our members. Today, we’re excited to share the sweet story behind the shot from our colleague, Elliot Lusk, CPM. These photographs feature Elliot with his daughter, Mia. The left photo depicts Mia sledding down a small hill for the first time at only 11 months old! Fast forward nearly three years later, and she can’t wait to go sledding with her family each winter. ❄️ Here’s what Elliot shared about the photos: “This was Mia's first time ever going sledding. It was on a Sunday after a decent snow and the sun had come out, so we escaped the inside and went to a park for some fun. Being so young, she wasn’t hesitant in going down the hill; she was pretty much just along for the ride. The second time, not so much. By the third trip, she was hooked! Looking back at this photo, with three snow seasons under her belt, Mia's quick to point out that she doesn't need the "baby sled" anymore (but she still likes being pulled up the hill). We can't get to the top fast enough. She's fearlessly confident.” ✨ Mia’s story is proof that the impact of confidence has no age limit. Even as a baby, her confidence empowered her to embrace new experiences and overcome challenges with bravery and resilience. We're thrilled to support the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana and their mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character by offering experiences, opportunities, and an empowering environment. 💚 The grant from the Everwise Foundation will help fund GSNI-M's staff-led troop program, which equips girls with the skills, knowledge, and self-assurance needed to become strong, confident women and future leaders. 💪✨ Chris Griggs, the Manager of our Granger branch, had the pleasure of presenting the grant during a recent visit to the GSNI-M office in Granger.
