About us
ERL is an American ready-to-wear brand designed by Eli Russell Linnetz in Venice Beach, California. ERL launched its first full menswear collection in January 2020 in partnership with Comme des Garçons, capturing the colorful and laid-back spirit of California with simple, sensual takes on all-American staples. Since then, ERL has expanded its universe to include womenswear, suiting, accessories, and childrenswear for ages 4-14. All ERL photography, casting, styling, lookbooks, and campaigns are created in-house by Eli Russell Linnetz. A look from ERL’s Fall 2021 menswear collection was featured in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s 2021 Costume Institute exhibition, “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” At the 2021 Costume Institute Gala, A$AP Rocky wore an upcycled ERL quilt on the red carpet with a custom ERL tuxedo. Eli Russell Linnetz has received multiple international awards for his designs, including GQ’s Breakthrough Designer of the Year in 2021, and LVMH’s Karl Lagerfeld Prize in 2022. In 2023, Eli was selected as the guest designer at Pitti Uomo, where he launched his suiting, eyewear and footwear. In 2024, ERL opened their first storefront in Venice Beach, California, and launched "Made in California," a collection featuring vintage-inspired cut-off graphic tees, hand-dyed hoodies, waffle sets, hand-knitted jackets, and ethically sourced shearling pieces. These items are sold exclusively on ERL.Store and at their Venice Beach store. All ERL photography, casting, styling, lookbooks, and campaigns are created in-house by Eli Russell Linnetz.
