Where Business & Science Meet
About us
The Emory Biotech Consulting Club (EBCC) connects student from various backgrounds with local innovators to help bring scientific discoveries to the market while simultaneously preparing students for careers in consulting through hands-on experience, as well as professional development seminars and workshops. We match interested students with Atlanta-based inventors and entrepreuners to help them overcome the next big obstacle on their path to biotech commercialization, including market assessment, customer discovery, competitor analysis, regulatory pathway identification, intellectual property strategy, and more. We also sponsor professional development seminars and workshops to help prepare our students for consulting case interviews. Membership is open to graduate and professional students Emory and neighboring institutions, such as Georgia Tech and Georgia State University, with an emphasis on connecting STEM and business graduate students. Our program provides our participants with opportunities to exchange knowledge and skill sets across a variety of disciplines thus expanding their networks and career prospects. This interdisciplinary program is funded by Dean Lisa Tedesco (Laney Graduate School) and actively partnered with Emory’s Office of Technology Transfer (OTT), who are instrumental in recruiting faculty inventors and participating startups.
