December has been an intense and exciting month, and as we close out the year, I want to take a moment to reflect on some key lessons we’ve learned in this market.   Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) remain a cornerstone of our approach. Bundling project developments with PPAs creates real value, providing the market with renewable energy solutions that also deliver stability for all stakeholders.   Strong relationships are just as crucial. Connections on the financing side and with partners for divestments are the result of years of trust and collaboration. These relationships have been instrumental in everything we’ve achieved and will continue to build on.   Agility is another important factor. The ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions, supported by a team that consistently rises to the challenge, is a critical part of navigating this dynamic market.   At European Energy, we often describe ourselves as "creative enablers" of the green transition, and that sentiment feels as relevant today as ever. The combination of innovation and collaboration within our workforce inspires progress and makes our journey possible.   This year has been a reminder of both the progress we’ve made and the challenges that remain. I’m grateful for the dedication and hard work of our team, and for the support of our partners and stakeholders.   There’s still much to do as we work toward our shared climate goals. With the assets, relationships, and talent we’ve nurtured, I believe we’re well-positioned to continue making a meaningful impact in the years ahead.   Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.

CEO and co-founder of European Energy. We develop, construct and invest in renewable energy (wind and solar).

As we close out 2024, I’m happy to share a few of many highlights and news. This December, we completed transactions on projects with a total capacity of almost 1.1 GW across in Northern Europe.   It has been a month of milestones for us. We secured offshore establishment permits for Lillebælt Syd and Jammerland Bugt and finalized the transaction with TotalEnergies for their divestments. To top it off, we received the final permit to put the Kassø e-methanol into operation shortly.    These achievements mark the best quarter in the company’s history - a great way to finish up a year of accomplishments and challenges!   I want to extend my warmest thanks to all our friends and partners, but a special thanks to the colleagues at European Energy. Thank you for your dedication, support, and belief in our vision. See you soon, in a brighter and greener 2025. 🥂✨

Just in time for the darkest day of the year, we get to grid connect a solar park! I am happy to share that Solar Park Holsted is now officially grid connected. At 175 MW this park is ready to power 45,000 European households yearly. This milestone reflects the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of our EPC team, other colleagues, and partners who made it possible. Pushing the green transition forward in Brazil through Power to X! 🇧🇷   European Energy and Petrobras are teaming up to make green methanol production a reality in Pernambuco, Brazil.   This collaboration is all about combining strengths: Petrobras’s unparalleled presence in Brazil’s energy sector and European Energy’s proven expertise in Power-to-X solutions. Together, we’re working towards building a commercial-scale green methanol facility that will help decarbonize industries and position Pernambuco as a leader in renewable energy technology.   Green methanol is a game-changer for reducing emissions in hard-to-abate sectors, like plastic production, shipping, aviation, and this project represents a huge opportunity to leverage Brazil’s abundant resources to create green energy solutions with global impact. Well done EE and Petrobras teams. Looking forward to continue working on this strategic partnership. European Energy Australia and the First Nations Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng, and Taribelang Bunda People Development Corporation are pleased to announce the first project in our renewable energy partnership – the Aldoga Wind Farm. The capacity of the wind farm is still undecided due to the grid assessment process and feasibility studies, but it could potentially be up to 250 MW capacity. This could reduce carbon emissions by over five million tonnes annually and attract additional investment and jobs to the region. “Continuing our relationship with European Energy is crucial to safeguarding our participation in green energy projects occurring in the region. We value the opportunity to be involved from the outset and look forward to participating in productive commercial opportunities which respect and benefit our country, our people and our culture,’ stated Marcia McCullough, Chair, FNBGGGTB Development Corporation.
