Only 24% of 4th graders in the U.S. can read proficiently. In some states, reading scores are dangerously low. Nationwide, not a single state has reached the proficient benchmark. This isn't just an education challenge. It's a societal crisis. Literacy is the foundation of opportunity. Without it, the path forward becomes harder for every child. It's time to close the gap and take action. Watch the video to see the full picture of this national emergency. What role will you play in changing this? #Literacy #FutureOfEducation #CatalystsForChange

🎉 As we step into a new year, let's take a moment to look ahead, 10 years into the future. According to our recent human progress report on generational shifts redefining work and education, by 2035, 79% of Gen Z and 81% of Millennials believe that evidence of new skills acquired will hold the same value as a university degree. The rapid pace of career changes and the rise of non-traditional learning pathways highlight the growing need for credible and portable accreditations. With increasing access to bespoke learning opportunities, the challenge will be ensuring that these skills are validated in a meaningful way. At ETS, we’re dedicated to advancing fair and reliable assessments that empower lifelong learners to thrive in this evolving landscape. 📈 💬 How do you think the value of education and skills will evolve in the next decade? 📚 The generosity of our ETS staff knows no bounds! What started with a single donation table grew beyond expectations, filling our donation basket and overflowing into ten additional boxes of children's books by the end. Thanks to the commitment and compassion of our ETSers, we’ve raised more than $10K to empower transformative literacy initiatives across the globe. Together, we’re helping to rewrite the future for countless children and communities. We are honored to stand alongside extraordinary organizations like Room to Read, Book Aid International, World Literacy Foundation, and Reading Is Fundamental in our shared mission to break barriers to education. As we turn the page to the Pages of Possibilities Gift of Reading Drive, we continue to amplify our impact, opening doors to brighter futures, one book, one story, at a time. ✨ Thank you for making this possible. Together, we’re creating a world where literacy knows no limits. #ETSCares #LiteracyMatters #GlobalImpact #GivingBack #CommunityEngagement
