At Edgerton Contractors, we pride ourselves on using cutting-edge technology to revolutionize the construction industry. Since adopting our first Automated Machine Guidance (AMG) system in 2003, we’ve equipped every backhoe, dozer, and grader in our fleet with advanced Trimble GPS technology, ensuring precision and efficiency on every project. In this video, Jordan Swanson, P.E., our Engineering Manager, takes you to one of our job sites to show how technology drives everything we do. From creating 3D digital models in the office or remotely to ensuring our heavy equipment operators know exactly where and how deep to dig, every step is planned digitally before it’s executed in the field. We leverage tools like Trimble Business Center, Trimble Works Manager and Trimble Stratus also known as Propeller to instantly update machine designs, track and accurately document completed work, whether our projects are in Florida, Texas, or Wisconsin. This connectivity allows us to deliver real-time precision from design to execution—no matter where we are. By eliminating guesswork and optimizing processes, our AMG systems help reduce costs, save time, and ensure top-notch quality for every client. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧? Shoutout to Edgerton's crew working at our MMSD site! On Wednesday, November 20th, they truly earned the title of Good Samaritan by stepping up to help rescue a missing dog. Great job, team! Your kindness made a difference! #edgertonproud #cuttingedge #goodsamaritans #thorthedog https://lnkd.in/gT52PXvQ MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Abby Voss was supposed to have a day off on Wednesday, Nov. 20, but she still decided to head into Happy Paws -- a grooming, day care and boarding facility in Milwaukee where she's worked for the last three months. "I love dogs, absolutely," Voss told CBS 58's Ellie Nakamoto-White. But at the beginning of her shift, the team received an odd phone call. "It was a construction worker and he's like, 'hey, are you guys missing a dog?'" Voss recalled. After checking to make sure all of the animals in their care were accounted for, she and another coworker headed out to the work zone, which coincidentally happened to be along the Menomonee River behind Happy Paws. “Immediately, I was like, I want to go help if it’s right there," Voss said. “I felt like dad mode started and I was like, we got to go get this baby!" The two had to trek through mud and sludge down to a rocky ravine where a small white dog was running back and forth on the river. Workers had to use an excavator to build a wall of dirt so Voss could more easily head down the 15-foot drop to where the pup was. After about 20 minutes, Voss was able to safely corner the animal. “I had him in my arms and everything just went silent for a second, and I was like, buddy, you’re going to be okay," Voss said. When they arrived back at Happy Paws, they discovered that there was a microchip and were able to call the owner. "It felt like I lost a child," said Tammy Hernandez, who added that her 2-year-old chihuahua, Thor, had gone missing from the area of 29th and Burnham last Friday. Hernandez, who works as a nurse, said she spent the entire five days searching for her pup. So when she got the call on Wednesday morning, she rushed over immediately. "I knew right away it was him," Hernandez said. "Riding all the way home, he sat on my shoulder like he was a parrot. They took good care of him here." Thor is now safely back at home, with his siblings Loki and Chewbacca.

Edgerton at the Fall Externship! Yesterday, Edgerton had the opportunity to attend the Fall Externship at the Operating Engineers Training Center in Coloma, Wisconsin. We were proud to see our very own Tom Zamba and Steve Schwab mentoring high school students on mini excavators, showcasing the importance of hands-on learning. It was also great to catch up with Tim Giroux, who brought his son to explore a career in the trades, and Emily Luebke, who's advancing her skills in the Apprenticeship Dozer course. What a fantastic day for inspiring the next generation of skilled professionals! 👷♀️ 👷♂️ #edgertonproud #cuttingedge #tradesinaction #buildingthefuture #local139

This building wasn’t built in a day… nor was it demolished in one. Edgerton Demolition crews have been hard at work on the shores of Lake Mendota in Madison, clearing the way this fall for the future Lock Lane Apartments. #EdgertonDemolition #LakeMendota

The fall colors are beginning to turn at TruStage Financial Group, Inc. (formerly CUNA Mutual Group) in Madison, and the campus's transformation is truly remarkable. Where the old headquarters once stood, a beautiful new employee activity area is now featuring exposed bedrock.
