  • Did you know that 95% of our BPI-Certified products are also CMA-W Approved? The Compost Manufacturing Alliance LLC (CMA) offers field disintegration testing in several prominent processing methods with varying allowable disintegration time frames. The 'W' in CMA-W stands for "Windrow", one of the composting technologies that CMA works with to give composters a feel for how products will perform in “real world” composting environments. Thanks to Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) and CMA for helping provide composters with the information they need to feel good about accepting certified compostable products into their facilities!

  • Our CIRC program was created over a year ago and we wanted to remind you who CIRC is for -- all of whom play a critical role in keeping foodservice organics out of landfills. Contamination from non-compostable products and materials is one of the biggest, if not the biggest problem facing composter accepting material from post-consumer sources. CIRC was created to address this challenge through a systems approached designed to build trust between generators, composters, haulers, distributors, and manufacturers. All of these audiences play a critical role in keeping foodservice organics out of landfills. Interested in keeping compost streams contamination free?
