About us

Our mission is to advance health equity and promote healing for all people impacted by HIV. Our vision is an East Bay with zero HIV stigma, health disparities, or new HIV transmissions. Who we are: East Bay Getting to Zero is a network of diverse people from community organizations, clinics, hospitals, schools, faith-based organizations, public and private agencies in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties working together to advance health equity and healing for all people impacted by HIV through system coordination, advocacy, capacity building and innovation. What we do: We bring people together to collaborate on creative ways to implement the East Bay HIV strategic plan, supporting community members to have more equitable access to HIV testing, prevention and treatment services. Core values: Focus on equity and healing by being: ● People-first ● Trauma-informed ● Healing-engaged ● Anti-racist ● Sex positive ● Community-driven ● Data and science-driven ● Adaptive and resilient We offer: Free events, workshops and working groups open to the public where community members collaborate, learn and develop creative strategies to improve access, messaging, resources and services. Systems improvement facilitation to help organizations and teams work together better across our region through equitable, streamlined policies and processes that are people-first, trauma-informed and healing-centered. Training and coaching for organizations and teams who provide HIV testing, PrEP, PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis), care and treatment services.
